Our School is a Public Secondary School of average size  in a small town in the north coast of Spain, called Colindres. Our School imparts secondary and high school education, and it is composed of 500 students and 60 teachers.

Our educational school is a Bilingual High School of Secondary Education.  The sections of the schools are the following:

  • Compulsory Secondary School with bilingual programmme in English-Spanish (12 to 16 years old)
  • Non-compulsory High School, being prepared for Colle ge (from 16 to 18 years) teaching High School subjects and Vocational Physical education (from 18 to 20 years).

The main goal of our school is to become a European school in 10 years, connected to other European schools, so knowledge and educational experiences are shared in order to modernize and internationalize the centre.

Our educational centre has participated in European projects for 8 years, first through Comenius students exchange projects and then we have participated on a Multilateral Erasmus+ KA2 project with 4 European partners.

Our town has 9000 inhabitants with an important percentage of low income level, immigration and risk of social exclusion.  On the other hand, there are pupils with physical and sensory disabilities and also students with educational difficulties.  Therefore, the school is provided by specialists in this area to support and work on the inclusion of all the students in the school.

One of our main aims is promoting equity and inclusion by facilitation the access to participants with disadvantaged backgrounds in school and transnational activities on a European project.
